Building the facilitation layer for AI
Structured conversations as civic and organizational infrastructure — making inclusive decision-making accessible at any scale.
Our mission
We founded Harmonica on a simple belief: the best decisions come from structured, inclusive input — not the loudest voice in the room. Most organizations struggle to gather genuine input at scale. Surveys feel impersonal. Meetings favor the vocal. Asynchronous tools leave people behind.
Harmonica works differently. An AI facilitator talks to each participant 1:1, adapting the conversation in real time, then synthesizes what it heard into a clear picture of what the group actually thinks. It's not a survey. It's a conversation.
AI facilitation is designed to augment human facilitators, not replace them. Skilled facilitators bring intuition, trust, and presence that no model can replicate. What AI can do is extend that reach — handling hundreds of parallel conversations, surfacing patterns, and freeing human facilitators to focus on what matters most.
We build in the open because facilitation infrastructure should be transparent and auditable. When AI shapes how groups think together, the logic should be inspectable. Harmonica's core platform is open source under AGPL-3.0.

Open source
Harmonica is open core. The core facilitation platform is open source (AGPL-3.0) and available on GitHub. We believe facilitation infrastructure should be transparent, auditable, and community-driven. Run it yourself, contribute to the platform, or extend it for your context.
